A man committed suicide in his rented house in Rhonda Estate, Nakuru County, on Sunday, June 19.
According to a police record obtained by K24 Digital, Ochieng, 35, hanged himself with a pink mosquito net.
Winnie Wanjiru Mwaura, the owner of the house where Ochieng died, reported the incident.
“She reported that she received a report that one of her tenants namely Ochieng a Luo male adult had committed suicide in one of her rented houses,” the report filed at Rhonda police station read in part.
Detectives then acted quickly and went to the location where the dead had died.
According to police, Ochieng killed himself because he was having domestic violence with his estranged wife, who had abandoned him.
His body was transported to the Nakuru County Government Mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
