Body of businessman found lying on Mikuyuni road with two deep cuts

Police in Kibwezi are probing the death of a middle-aged man whose body was found lying on Mikuyuni road Wednesday morning by passersby.

According to Assistant County Commissioner (ACC) Vitalis Ogur, the deceased has left them with unanswered questions.

The Kibwezi businessman was found killed with two deep cuts on his head.

“We have had good security in this area for a long time but we are yet to know the right cause this of death,” said Ogur.

Julius Nyerere Wambua, a neighbor to the deceased, said he was a good neighbor to every one across Kibwezi town.

“The bike had no sign that it could have been involved in any accident. We could see two deep cuts on his head, prove he was killed somewhere else and dumped at the scene,” Wambua said.

He said they are now living in fear.

“We ask the security department to dig deeper into this death and unearth the truth and ensure us our security as well,” Wambua said.

Ogur said Kibwezi department of criminal investigations has commenced probe to unravel the mystery of the murder.

The body was taken to Makindu Hospital mortuary for autopy.
