Hon. Kawira Mwangaza – Water Tank Donations to Schools

0

Kiamuri Secondary School in Meru County recently received support in the form of a 10000-liter water storage tank from Meru NGAAF Patron Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza to help ease the burden of students who were forced to walk for kilometers in search of water from nearby rivers.

Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza challenged Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi’s government to explain and physically show the people in the mashinani a track record of development recently published in papers.

“In his 2017 manifesto of lies, Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi promised that every home would be connected to water. We are now in the fourth year and have yet to see Meru County residents watering carrots and cabbages in their farms. People want to see the development claimed on Mashinani papers,” said Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza.

“Those hired to attack me on radio stations should account to the Mashinani people for how many students they have awarded bursaries to. Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi’s administration has begun minor road repairs. I request that Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi’s government account for the money it received in the first, second, third, and fourth years before lying to the people at the last minute by doing minor road repairs.

“There is one year until the general elections on August 9, 2022, and I urge Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi’s government to bow out of the race and return the wealth to the people. The public funds that could have been used to repair roads and connect homes to water were instead used to compensate women who protested against me. I ask that if they are paid again, they participate in the protests because if the money was not used to repair roads and connect water to homes, they should earn it.

“My advice to the women who took part in the protests against me is to wait until they are paid before going to protest, because those who took part in the previous protest were not paid. Some of those who were paid received Ksh 470, while others received Ksh 313 after middlemen stole the Ksh 1000 they were promised. When they are hired again, they should make certain that the money is in their pockets before being teargassed and dispersed with live bullets.

“My request to Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi’s administration is that they stop involving Meru County’s women in pointless activities. I will remain a staunch supporter of the people of Meru County and will not withdraw from the race for Meru County governor.

“The people of Meru County have pledged to elect me as the next governor of Meru County on August 9, 2022, so that I can fund many groups, award many bursaries to students, support many disabled children, provide many communities with water storage tanks, provide many students with chairs and desks, provide many communities with tents and chairs, and support many victims of gender-based violence.

“My message to Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi and his hired goons is that the people of Meru have vowed to elect me as the next Meru governor in the general elections on August 9, 2022. Despite the fact that Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi’s government invaded my home and planned to abduct my husband, Apostle Murega Baichu, I will not withdraw from the Meru governor’s race on August 9, 2022 general elections.

“Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi has hidden public funds in gunny bags in his home in order to bribe and silence those who oppose him. Those who have been bribed are bragging about how good he is.` The good that we want is to see hospitals with medicines, homes with running water and connected to electricity, our students educated, roads repaired, and groups funded.

“I vowed that I have no fear as the Meru County Women Rep. I told Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi that even if he bribed me with as many bundled Ksh 1000 notes as he could get, I wouldn’t change my political ambitions or withdraw from the Meru governor race on August 9, 2022 general elections.

“What may change my mind is when I visit hospitals and discover that there are medicines available, or when I visit the wards of Meru County and discover that over 15 groups have received funding,” she said.
