German police are searching for the gunman who left behind two dead in an attack in Espelkamp, 80 km west of Hanover. The incident is being investigated as homicide and, despite the manhunt, the perpetrator is still escaping arrest.

One victim was killed outside an apartment building and the other on a nearby street. The shootings took place in the city center shortly before noon. No details have been released about the perpetrator, but police say there is no immediate danger to the public.
