Miraa traders who have invested years of their lives into Miraa farming are worried that the sector cannot hold out much longer with no market.

“We choose Munya to look for a market for our produce, but he does nothing. Leaders ate our money, including the covid-19 funds. No one should come to us in 2022 to seek our votes.

The leaders should not claim to have aided Igembe by securing markets for their Miraa because farmers are throwing away their harvest. There is nowhere for them to sell it.

If they are unable to provide us with the current market, I wonder if there are other existing markets. All of the current elected leaders NO PEU,” a trader at Car wash in Igembe told BAITETV
