Mother throws bleach into her sick baby's feeding tube

The move of a mother who threw bleach in the feeding tube of her sick baby to sleep undisturbed has caused a stir in Australia.

13-month-old William, who was born with Pierre Robin Syndrome, which is characterized by a very small lower jaw (micrognathia), resulting in sagging and difficulty breathing, cried in his crib one night in December 2018.

In the same room was his mother, Brooke Evelyn Lucas, who was trying to fall asleep, deciding to get rid of his annoying crying, doing something unthinkable.

He took a bottle of “Exit Mold” from the bathroom, a household product commonly used for cleaning tiles, and threw it into the formula with which he fed the little one through a feeding tube.

Her confession to the police that she did it because she needed a “break” and a “good night’s sleep” is terrifying, as her son needs 24-hour care, after, however, for two whole weeks he blamed William’s older sister for poisoning.

She also claimed that she thought the bleach would “calm” him, while she herself felt “relieved”.

According to what became known in court, where the 26-year-old burst into tears, she watched her baby suffer for a long time, having convulsions and vomiting, before calling an ambulance.

William vomited 12 times during his transport to the hospital, where he had to be hospitalized for 17 days.

Now William is growing up with his grandparents, experiencing the love and warmth he was so deprived of by his mother.

The latter, after her arrest, was hospitalized in a psychiatric institution. She was initially charged with attempted murder, but later pleaded guilty to the slightest offense: exposing her son’s life to danger, now awaiting hearing her sentence.

Fortunately, she also won this “battle” for life, despite the fact that she showed him her hard face once again so early.
