CEC for Narok County Roads and Public Works John Marindany has died as a result of Covid-19.

Marindany died on Wednesday evening while receiving treatment at Nairobi Women’s Hospital.

While confirming the news, Governor Samuel Tunai described the deceased as a disciplined and dedicated employee who had served the county since 2013.

“I learned of Marindany’s untimely death with shock and difficulty. “The death of a dedicated member of the county executive whose services were a major knob in service delivery has dealt a significant blow to my administration,” Tunai said in a statement.

Marindany was appointed to the Education docket in 2013, but was later transferred to the Health, Livestock, and Fisheries docket.

He was also on the agriculture docket.

The deceased was last seen in public on March 31st, when he was inspecting roads in the area with the governor.
