Russian President Vladimir Putin has used particularly harsh language, declaring that Moscow will “break its teeth” on any foreign power trying to seize a piece of Russian territory.
The Russian leader made the remarks during a televised video conference with senior officials, referring to comments from foreigners who questioned whether Russia needed to control Siberia’s rich energy reserves.

“Some people do not even hesitate to say publicly that Siberian wealth cannot belong to one country alone,” Putin said, adding that “it is terrible to hear such things, especially in public, but sometimes they are heard.”
Using a militant language that attracts those who form the basis of his power between the armed forces and the security forces, Putin said Moscow would give a stunning and dynamic response to any would-be attackers.
“Everyone wants to bite something or cut something with their teeth. But those who are preparing to do so must know that we will break their teeth in such a way that they will not be able to bite. This is obvious. “And the guarantee for that is the development of our armed forces,” Putin said.
According to the Russian president, the same thing happens every season. As soon as the country becomes stronger, reasons are immediately invented to limit its development. He even recalled the saying of Russian Emperor Alexander III about Russia: “They are afraid of our great size” and said that some abroad even consider Russia too big even after the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
The Russian president’s comments come amid an attempt to arrange a summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Joe Biden to prevent further deterioration in Moscow’s relations with Washington.
