Ramadhan is the ninth month of the Muslim calendar, and Sawm is observed between dawn and nightfall, when the evening adhan is sounded.

During the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, people abstain from food, drink, smoking, and sexual activity.

Muslims in Maua-Igembe told BaiteTv that those attending prayers at the mosque pray for 7 minutes while observing Covid-19 protocols including the curfew hours. Others pray at home.
