A 15-year-old Palestinian man was shot dead by Israeli soldiers during a demonstration in the West Bank.
This is the fourth Palestinian to die in two days in the West Bank. The 15-year-old fell dead from Israeli fire on the sidelines of a demonstration in the occupied West Bank.
Mohamed Saeed Hmayel, 15, came under fire near Nablus in riots in the northern West Bank village of Beita, known as the Palestinian Red Crescent.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed his death and said that six Palestinians were wounded by live ammunition fired by the Israeli army, according to the APE.
Clashes erupted during a demonstration against the “construction of a settlement near the village of Beita”, the official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported. The Israeli army spoke of “violent riots with hundreds of Palestinians”.
“The rioters burned tires, threw stones and fired fireworks at the Israeli troops present at the scene, endangering their lives,” an army spokesman said.
The day before, three Palestinians were killed in the West Bank during an exchange of fire with Israeli forces, who were conducting an operation to capture Palestinians in Jenin (north).
