KANU chairman and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has rolled out grassroots engagement amid the heightened political activity to form the One Kenya Alliance.

Senator Moi who’s among the steering principles of the outfit yesterday met the members of the County assembly of Kiambu and KANU officials as talks of formalizing One Kenya Alliance hits fever pitch.

In Kiambu County Thursday morning KANU chairman and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi held a consultative meeting with members of the Kiambu County Assembly.

A meeting to lay ground for intense grassroots activities ahead of the August 9th, 2022 general election.

“We’ve all resolved that we will work together apart from the developments in Kiambu and the challenges which are also here. We agreed to put our heads together and our efforts together,” said Gideon Moi, Baringo County Senator.

Thursday’s meeting coming at a time the four-party principles are finalizing a mooted coalition in One Kenya Alliance bringing together KANU’s Gideon Moi, ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka and FORD Kenya’s Moses Wetangula.

The four principles met on Wednesday accompanied by a section of members of their respective parties.

“A coalition is as good as the people who make it, and in this context people who are ready to live up to the commitments that they sign up to,” said Musalia Mudavadi,” Amani National Congress Political Party leader.

One Kenya Alliance was birthed by the Matungu and Kabuchai by-elections as the leaders sought to combine forces to deliver the seats. KANU chair Gideon Moi saying KANU is rallying behind Jubilee party in Kiambaa mini polls against an onslaught from Deputy President William Ruto, fronting UDA party.

“We will support the jubilee candidate here and we’ve all resolved we will do our utmost to ensure that we have a successful outcome to it and we’re very confident that the people will deliver a favorable verdict,” said Gideon Moi, Baringo County Senator.

Senator Moi would later join family and friends at the cremation of the Late Patel Mansukh Kansagra, a prominent businessman in Nakuru County.

Among those present included Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala, Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui and Bahati Mp Kimani Ngunjiri.
