The spat between Deputy President William Ruto and CS Fred Matiangi has taken a fresh twist after the second in command claimed that he was part of a team that elevated him to the position of Cabinet Secretary.
While addressing Tanga Tanga allies from Nakuru county at his Karen residence, Ruto took credit for the vetting process of CS Matiang’i after they won the 2013 general elections where Matiang’i was initially appointed as the CS for Information, communication and technology.
The DP feels Matiang’i has become arrogant but feels they could still work together if he went back to his old self with Ruto keen on succeeding President Uhuru as the next head of state.
