“Kweli Kawira Sio Mchezo” Kiraitu Political Dance Sparks Reactions Online

County Mp Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza has drawn Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi into a political dance that has left him befuddled.

Kiraitu Murungi is undecided about his political future and has no idea where he’ll end up.

Even though he has long been regarded as a seasoned politician, he has never appeared as perplexed as he does now.

When he tried to join the camp of National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi and support his presidential bid, it didn’t work out.

“Who in this world doesn’t know the speaker of the National Assembly, Justice Justin Muturi?, A lawyer by profession who has worked for Judiciary, elected Member of Parliament for Siakago who has headed the center for Multi party democracy”, Kiraitu said.

“We have done our mathematics, we have looked at the leadership especially from the Mt. Kenya region and we are supporting you. Am not shy to say so, as a symbol of unity for the region. Because we appear to be some kind of tower,” Kiraitu said.

Kiraitu Murungi attempted to form his own political party, but it did not succeed. Recently, he joined Raila Odinga’s ODM camp.

“I want to tell you for sure there is nothing wrong with Raila,” Kiraitu said. I can tell you from my position and the roles I played then, there is nothing wrong with Raila. We had to make the man black so that we can win. Kibaki and Uhuru are no longer contesting in 2022, so we must abandon the propaganda against Raila,” Kiraitu said.

Kiraitu said Raila was a hero of the handshake.

Former Nkuene Ward MCA Nick Mburugu said Kiraitu Murungi was party hopping as a result of Meru County’s escalating political turmoil.

“Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza is giving him a lot of political heat. He has always known that a political party would install him in positions of power,” said Nick.

” He is attempting to join a political party affiliated with the government in order to be installed as Governor.

“He knows things are tough on the ground, and he hasn’t done what he was supposed to do in office over the last five years.

“Kiraitu Murungi requested that President Uhuru Kenyatta ask Munya to become a senator instead of running for governor at a recent meeting convened by President Uhuru Kenyatta at the statehouse for Meru leaders, which was attended by Maoka Maore, CS Munya, and him

“He claimed that the move would help to calm political tensions and prevent the damage of votes.

“Kiraitu anticipated that Munya would suggest that he be appointed as a Cabinet Secretary for the second time in the next government or as a deputy president.

“Kiraitu imagined that if the plan worked, he would be fortunate enough to win the Governor’s seat after the government installed him.

“He had forgotten that Kawira Mwangaza had expressed an interest in unseating him. He should be informed that defeating Kawira Mwangaza with his poor track record is not going to be easy.

‘The seat will be awarded based on the level of commitment demonstrated by leaders’ work for the people.

“My message to the Ameru people is that voting in the general elections next year will be different from previous elections,” said Nick.

Governor Kiraitu Murungi’s confusion and party-hopping prompted Kawira Mwangaza to say that Murungi will not keep up with the 2022 Gubernatorial race.
