A 24-year-old woman from Nepal and her newborn baby victim are shocked by an infant murder case in England. He broke his head and threw the body in a park.
A 24-year-old care worker killed her newborn baby but escaped jail despite crushing the little girl’s head shortly after birth, leaving her body in a park where she was found four days later.
According to the Daily Mail, Babita Rai caused horrible injuries to her newborn baby and left it next to a tree in Aldershot, Hampshire, England, in 2017.
She was acquitted of murder after a two-week trial and while the police were looking for her at least three years after the baby dies, before her conception in 2020.
Rai was six months pregnant when she entered the country from Nepal, but hid it from the border guards and her colleagues at the restaurant where she worked, due to the “shame” that accompanies anyone giving birth outside her homeland.

She was convicted of infanticide in May and today, more than a year after her initial arrest, Ray is “free to leave,” according to a Hampshire judge. He was ordered for two years of social service and reintegration actions for 30 days.
Rye crushed the baby’s skull after giving birth next to a tree and threw his body in a park, a few hours after the birth.
The 24-year-old allegedly managed to hit the baby repeatedly on the head after birth, causing him “significant” and ultimately, fatal injuries.
A park gardener spotted the macabre find four days later, initially thinking it was a doll that a child had forgotten.
According to the judge, Rai – who did not have a wife – was under “unbearable pressure” as her family in Nepal would consider the baby a “curse” and not a “blessing”.
He was alive for a few hours
The newborn is estimated to have survived the beatings for about two to 12 hours.The woman denied the murder charges during the trial.
According to the defense, Ray has no recollection of the incident while she has memory disorders. “She can not plead guilty to anything she does not remember, but she will not shirk her responsibilities,” said her lawyer.
According to the judge, when it came time to give birth, “the psychological trauma” from which he suffered came to the surface.
“You are a woman with a good character. The offense was committed when you were under unbearable pressure. You lived in a country that was not your homeland and you did not speak the language while you did not have access to services that help pregnant women and young mothers. “Depend completely on your family, who considered the baby a curse and not a blessing.”
According to the offense of infanticide, “it is recognized that the criminal responsibility of a mother in such circumstances is extremely reduced.”
The baby was named “Baby M” by police. Rai was found guilty of infanticide on May 5. He was detained for two years and 40 days.
