It’s not the first time Orange Democratic Party leader Raila Odinga has said that Kenyans should expect a political tsunami ahead of next year’s general election.

His comments come as Jubilee party legislators play down the recent decamping of Members of Parliament, Gathoni Wa Muchomba and David Gikaria to Deputy President Ruto’s side saying the ruling party is still intact and a force to reckon with.

Exactly a week after Jubilee party secretary-general Raphael Tuju announced that the ruling party was crafting a coalition with ODM party, Raila Odinga has told Kenyans to expect a major formation.

“The machine we are building is a powerful one. Some people are thumping their chest but are unaware of what is waiting for them ahead. There’s is a strong wind that is currently building up that will soon transform into a tsunami,” said Raila Odinga.

Raila was confident the building bridges initiative will be upheld by the Court of Appeal.

“We are confident that through this competent team we are going to succeed. The BBI is going to move forward,” said Raila odinga.

In Kiambaa, Kiambu County, a section of Jubilee party leaders said the ruling party is still intact despite the recent move by two MP’s to join Deputy President William Ruto’s camp.

“If there is someone who has decamped from Jubilee, they should stop propaganda and show us the letter they have written and forwarded to the registrar to prove that they have decamped from Jubilee Party,” said Jubilee party member.

“I’ve heard maybe we are joining with ODM. If tomorrow ODM goes to the other party, what will you do? defect again?. It means you are not decided,” said former Speaker of the Nairobi County Assembly Beatrice Elachi.
