Deputy President William Ruto has told the National Super Alliance (NASA), former principals, to sort out their differences without involving the president.

This even as ANC leaders supporting Musalia Mudavadi’s bid for presidency dismissed the relevance of reviving NASA. Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has also downplayed claims that NASA leaders will perish politically if they do not unite.

Former NASA principals seem to have lost harmony ahead of 2022 and with a face of a chorus of calls for a union to stand a chance of getting the better of a top contender Deputy President William Ruto.

The deputy president is now amplifying his voice with a dig at the ex-NASA principles. His message, leave the president out of your breakup

“Saa hizi hiyo imeshindikana tena wanazidi kusumbua Rais saa hizi ati sisi utupange kama watu ya NASA. Sasa Kenya imekwama kwa sababu wanaume wachache wanazunguka wakitafuta mambo yao,” said Deputy President William Ruto.

Ruto says the leaders were wasting the president’s time with a push for constitutional reforms that he says will only serve their political interests.

“Na hawaelewani, Kila mtu akona tamaa, huyo mwingine anaseme sijui nikona risasi ngapi, ule mwingine anasema sijui hawezi fanya kazi na yule mwingine, sasa wanamsumbua Rais. Badala ya Rais kufanyia Kazi wakenya, Rais amekua sasa ni kushughulikia watu watano hapo kujaribu kuwapanga,” said Ruto.

Meanwhile, in the Amani National Congress camp, leaders allied to their party leader Musalia Mudavadi who has his eye on the presidency emphasized that they are at peace with ditching the NASA coalition.

“Ukosefu wa kazi, Maisha Magumu ndiyo yanatupiga sasa. Kwa hivyo tushikane,’ said Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi.

“Walitupinga wakasema NASA imekufa, tukatolewa katika committee, wakasema Musalia ako hivi, ako vile. Kwa hivi maneno ya NASA sisi hatutaki kurudi ku revive NASA,” said Tindi Mwale, MP , Butere.

“NASA yenyewe imenaswa, na aliye kua captain Mkuu akanaswa. Don’tlook back to that Muribound thing called NASA,” said Titus Khamala, MP, Lurambi.

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka seemed to be supporting that same message.

Our friends are afraid. Wanasema tusipoungana we shall perish. That is negative energy, tunaungana because of the positive vibes na wakenya wataungana. Therefore, I want to suggest that we don’t preach fear,” said Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Leaders who accompanied him to church in Imara Daima,Nairobi say he is the country’s best bet.
