MERU COUNTY, Kambelia – One man is dead after a rollover crash in Meru County.
According to eyewitnesses, a single-car rollover crash took place along Muriri-Isiolo road at Kambelia village in Tigania.
Eyewitnesses say the driver was drunk and traveling at unsafe speeds. A passenger in the vehicle, Kauru, a tout from Muriri, died at the scene of the accident.

“We learned about the accident while we were at home in Kangari village. Ngondi and Kirimi are from Miathine village and had gone to buy alcohol at a depot. When they discovered that the depot had not yet been opened, they met a friend who joined them. When we arrived at the hospital where they had been taken, we learned that their friend had died.” an eyewitness said.
According to the Chief, two other people were taken to Muthara Sub-district hospital with moderate injuries.
