Mudslide sinks cows and leaves home dangling on edge

Must read

At 6 a.m on the morning of April 24, the locals of Ngongo-Imenti woke up to witness a mudslide as a result of a flood that had cut across a house and engulfed the cows.

A part of the house that was still standing indicated that it was in danger of collapsing. The locals begged the government and well-wishers to assist the family by erecting gabions to prevent further mudslides.

“I beg DMK to come and assist because he was always around when we were looking for votes but forgot about us after he was elected. The landslide happened 300 meters from the Ngongo market, said Patrick.

The landslide had buried the cows. We implore Meru county leaders, the national government, and well-wishers to come and assist in preventing the house from collapsing further.
