Early yesterday morning, Police gunned down a 25-year-old robbery suspect, who was part of a gang of four men breaking into a liquor store along Mirema-Marurui road in Kasarani.

The officers arrived at the scene just before the gang had gained access into Happy Hour liquor store, next to Tessara club along Marurui road.

On spotting the officers, one of the thugs opened fire which prompted the officers to fire back, fatally shooting the suspect.

The other three managed to escape in a blue Toyota Wish, whose number plates had been concealed.

Police recovered a mini Walther pistol from the suspect, loaded with one round of 9mm ammunition, two broken padlocks and a spotlight. Officers are pursuing the three suspects who managed to escape.
