At least 30 people have been killed in three suburbs of Mumbai after several houses collapsed when heavy rains caused landslides, officials said today.
Forecasts for new downpours may lead the authorities to relocate to other areas, residents living in landslide risk zones.

Rescuers dug into the ground with their hands as they tried to locate survivors, according to local television footage, with authorities saying more people may have been trapped in the rubble.
