A man is being held at Kiogoro Police Station in Nyaribari Chache Constituency, Kisii County, for allegedly defiling his two daughters.
The man, 32, is accused of defiling his two daughters, ages 12 and 14, at Nyankoba, Bobaracho Ward, in the same Sub County, on various dates.
Acting Area Assistant Chief Wilfred Nyakeirura told the press yesterday that the suspect (name withheld) was being held at Kisii Central Police Station.
“The children were taken to the hospital, where it was determined that they had been defiled. The suspect’s fingerprints have been collected, and he will be arraigned in court as soon as possible,” Nyakeirura added.
According to Nyakeirura, the incident happened while their mother was away.
This event comes on the heels of a series of defilement cases recently reported in Kisii County, with activists urging victims to seek justice.
