More than 40 migrants have died after a boat carrying about 50 people from Western Sahara to Spain’s Canary Islands capsized, according to the non-governmental organization Walking Frontiers.
“Tragedy: 42 people, including 30 women, eight children and four men, died when their boat sank off the coast of Dahla,” Elena Maleno, a spokeswoman for the group, wrote on Twitter.

The Spanish newspaper El Pais, citing official sources, reports that there are fears that 30 people have been killed.
