Unimaginable tragedy in Bulgaria with 45 people killed when the bus they were on caught fire
Bulgaria is shocked by the news of the horrific death of a total of 45 people when the bus they were on caught fire on a motorway. Even more tragic of the case is that among the 45 dead are 12 children.
According to Reuters, the Skopje-registered bus was carrying a total of 52 people, seven of whom were injured and taken to a hospital in the Bulgarian capital, Sofia.
According to the NOVA channel, the dead are probably Skopjans, while the Prime Minister of Bulgaria has already had a telephone conversation with his Skopje counterpart, Zoran Zaef.
The accident took place on the Struma highway in western Bulgaria with the bus starting on Monday night from Istanbul.
According to local Bulgarian media, the accident with the 45 dead took place at 3 am on Tuesday under hitherto unknown circumstances.
