The end came for a man in Karachi village in Meru County after members of the community discovered he had not been circumcised.
An eyewitness said that after he was caught with a stolen chicken, it was discovered that he had not been circumcised when he was about to be disciplined.
“We picked him up last night and took him to the house of elders to see if he had been circumcised. We later handed him over to the young men who circumcised him. We then took him to his home in Kaloo village,” said an eyewitness.
According to a resident, the man had children and was known to marry and divorce women.
“When we took him home, his parents welcomed him and accepted him. My advice to men who are used to leaving their homes and staying away for years is to think about their children and how they suffer,” he said.
“I’m surprised by his wife, who had lived with him for a long time and had three children with him without realizing he wasn’t circumcised. The Man’s father should also be examined to see if he has been circumcised because he allowed his son to grow into an old man while keeping the secret hidden,” he said.
A resident said that the man was circumcised in accordance with the Kimeru tradition. He said that he would attend the ceremony after he is healed to celebrate.
“His wife was also rumored to have been divorced from another man before they met, and the man was not circumcised. Members of the community also forced him to undergo traditional circumcision,” he said.
A resident said that the suspect was also been accused of stealing goats in the neighborhood.
