How much exercise do you need?

Even if you have never exercised, it is never too late! You can start with a slow pace, with a gentle 10 minute exercise. A brisk walk every day is a good first exercise.

A good goal is to exercise 5 times a week for at least 30 minutes at a time. However, the secret is to start gradually, if you are a beginner. Start with exercise 2 or 3 times a week for 20 minutes each time. Once you feel comfortable, increase the time and days you exercise.
