A spokesman for the Taliban has confirmed the killing of Minapal, a spokesman for President Ghani.
The head of the Afghan government’s intelligence service was killed during Friday prayers in Kabul, the interior ministry said , days after the Taliban warned they would attack government officials.

“Unfortunately, violent and savage terrorists even committed one cowardly act and killed an Afghan patriot who resisted the enemy propaganda (…), the Dawa Khan Minapal, during Friday prayer” in the capital, he said ministry spokesman Mirouais Stanikzai in a message via WhatsApp to the media.
A Taliban spokesman has confirmed that Minapal was killed.
Minapal was a spokesman for Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
