Tea farmers in Kiguchwa-Tigania told BaiteTv they expected a loan in May but have no hope of receiving one this year. They stated that they are excited to have new KTDA directors elected in the upcoming elections.
Potential candidates speaking to BaiteTv urged tea farmers to arrive early at polling stations and disregard KTDA rumors that there would be no elections.
They said that the share voting system had been corrupt in the past and that they believed the one man, one vote system would bring management closer to the farmers.
