Mwenda Nchamba Launches Attacks on Kiagu UDA Aspirant, Sends Him a Special Message

Must read

Nathan Gitonga, alias ‘Mwenda Nchamba,’ a Noo Peu party Kiagu Ward MCA aspirant, has sent a special message to President Uhuru Kenyatta, CS Matiangi, and PS Kibicho regarding campaign meetings for by-elections scheduled for September 14, 2021.

He lamented the government’s move to prohibit all other aspirants, with the exception of the UDA party, from holding meetings.

“We have been barred from holding meetings. However, a notorious political party with a gang of goons is the only one permitted to hold meetings. Although every aspirant is capable of holding meetings, we chose to adhere to the government’s ban on gatherings and meetings” said Mwenda Nchamba.

He said that CS Matiangi and PS Kibicho should be aware that other aspirants were fed up with the UDA party’s exception to hold meetings.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta, as our leader, should intervene because the chief does nothing despite being informed. When we called a meeting to discuss our political campaign plans, police officers from Kaguma were dispatched to disperse us. The elections will take place on September 14, 2021, and we want Kiagu residents to understand that we want peace,” said Mwenda Nchamba.

He said the Member of Parliament for Imenti Central had a poor track record when it comes to road and bridge construction in his constituency and should not be engaged in Kiagu Ward politics.

“Meru Senator Mithika Linturi said that he intends to camp in Kiagu ward to ensure that the UDA party candidate wins the election. Mithika should be aware that if he ran for the MP seat in his constituency today, he would be defeated by Hon. John Paul Mwirigi,” said Mwenda Nchamba.

He said all other aspirants are aware of the UDA party’s dirty dealings.

He implored the government to treat all candidates fairly and allow each aspirant to hold meetings.

“Someone filed a petition alleging that Hon. Kabobo and I work for the government. He should expect me to inform him at the tribunal that I am not a government employee. He should expect me to appear at the tribunal to inform him that I am not a government employee,” said Mwenda Nchamba.

He urged the unnamed individual to state his job group if he believed he was a government employee.

“We all know that after being elected to office, a leader has the power to keep or fire all of his or her employees. Gatundi, you’ve come too far, and even if I filled your stomach with water, I wouldn’t be able to satisfy you,” said Mwenda Nchamba.

He said they would lock horns at the tribunal and cautioned him against embarrassing himself by ending up in a dead-end with the case.
