One Thing Kiraitu Said That Shows He Has No Interest In Becoming Governor

Must read

Meru County Governor Kiraitu Murungi has expressed some confusion over which presidential candidate he supports. He was previously seen with Speaker Justin Muturi and said that he was his preferred presidential candidate for the August 9, 2022, general elections.

He said that they would form a political party together. Meru deputy governor Ntunchiu also stated that they had identified a party with Kiraitu Murungi and planned to use it in the August 9, 2022, general elections.

“It seems the journalists were able to investigate and bring out what we have so far. As the allies of Justin Muturi and Governor Kiraitu Murungi, Embu governor Martin Wambora and Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki, we have managed to acquire the RBK party from Ole Kiyiapi and his allies. The party that he used in 2013,” said MCA for Abogeta West DMK Kiogora .

“We are very happy as the Mount Kenya East because we have now our own vehicle, a political vehicle, Restore and Build Kenya party. It is a regional party and of course, we are going to go to other parts of Kenya. Even if we are saying it is a vehicle of Mount Kenya East, you cannot register a regional party. It is a National Party only that the leadership or rather the top leadership is from Mount Kenya East region. That is Meru, EmbuTV and Tharaka Nithi County,” said Meru deputy governor Ntuchiu.

They went ahead and raised flags with their pictures in Meru Town. The photos showed a collaboration with Speaker Justin Muturi, Deputy Governor Ntuchiu and Kiraitu Murungi. After a few weeks, Kiraitu Murungi was seen joining ODM party leader Raila Odinga’s camp.

Kiraitu had previously claimed to be forming a political party for the Ameru people. After a few weeks, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi paid a visit to Meru County and held a meeting with Kiraitu Murungi.

With the Meru people surprised and perplexed by Kiraitu Murungi hopping from one leader’s camp to another, he came up with a story claiming that he wanted to first consider all of the candidates and hear them out so that he could decide which path to take.

On September 24th, 2021, he mentioned the Meru people in a meeting and said that he was not prepared with matters on political parties. He said that he would announce his political direction in three months.

“I have not been able to talk much about parties because I am not ready. You haven’t heard me say anything yet as I am currently in school studying. I want to stay in that school for another 3 months so that I can hear what is happening and declare my stand when the time comes. I’m also building a party because the rest who have parties are men like me,” said Kiraitu

When you count three months from September 24th, 2021, you find that he was expected to state his position again in January 2021. However, before a week had passed, Kiraitu reappeared and changed his previous sentiments.

He claimed that he wasn’t talking about three months, but rather a few days when he would make his decision on political parties.

“We will fight for a party for the Ameru people, Tharaka Nithi people, Embu people and the Mbeere people,” said Kiraitu.

“Our party has yet to be launched, despite the fact that it appears that Speaker Muturi was in a hurry before panicking and looking for the DP party to be nominated as a presidential candidate, or perhaps the party approached him and gave him the ticket, I’m not sure which is which,” said Kiraitu.

“It doesn’t matter to us which party you’re running in; all we care about is that our party will be there. Wherever the DP party is counted, our party will be counted as well. Where the Wiper Party is counted, our party will be counted as well. Where the ANC is counted, our party will be counted, and where the ODM is counted, our party will be on the same level as well,” said Kiraitu.

“Don’t panic, and don’t get tired, because we’ll have our party by the end of October. We will hear from all of the leaders, particularly those who are running for president. The goat is also supposed to teach us something. When a male goat climbs a female goat, it smells her first,” said Kiraitu.

“It just doesn’t climb on the female for no apparent reason. It begins by smelling all of the female goats to determine which ones have a scent. Kiraitu Murungi should be allowed to smell. You saw us the other day in Meru town, smelling Musalia Mudavadi,” said Kiraitu.

“We will continue to invite other leaders because we have not exhausted all of them. I suggested that I be given until 2022 to smell them all and decide which one smells the best. As Meru Governor, I will inform the people about my preferred candidate and invite Meru residents to express their opinions “Kiraitu said.
