‘Massive hit’: Nissan driver rams into car in front. Miraculously, death averted

Must read

A motorist driving up on a road in Meru town rammed into a car. According to eyewitnesses, the motorist did not hit the brakes hard enough as traffic began to slow, resulting in a collision.

“I saw a car coming way too fast obviously,” an eyewitness told Baite Tv.

According to the owner of the damaged vehicle, the motorist continued to step the gas pedal even after the collision.

An eyewitness said that the motorist narrowly avoided sandwiching a pedestrian between the two cars in what could only be described as a miraculous escape.

As a consequence of the hit, the back of the vehicle can be seen crunched with a broken rear window.

In another incident, eyewitnesses said a tractor ran off the road and hit a tree on Sooni-Matangine road in Tigania Sub County, injuring one person.

According to an eyewitness, the tractor had four occupants. He said that the two occupants were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Seven pedestrians, he claimed, narrowly escaped being hit.

“Lorries traveling to the queries endanger our children because the road is sloppy and there is a risk of reversing when their brakes fail,” he said.

He described the road as narrow and without a sidewalk.

“Earlier, there were two separate accidents recently involving two lorry lorries. One was on its way to the quarries to collect ballast, while the other was on its way to collect timber. When it rains, the road becomes impassable, forcing us to carry our children to school on our backs,” she said.

A resident said that a bridge connecting the village to the school has not been repaired in years.

“Our MCA is nowhere to be found and Meru Governor Kiraitu has never visited us. If he fails to repair the road, we will not vote for him,” he said.

According to a resident, Governor Kiraitu has only helped his people since being elected and forgotten about the rest.
