Deputy President Dr William Samoei Ruto on Saturday 16th October 2021 rubbished off Raila’s Ksh 6000 plan to poor households saying that Kenyan’s want real jobs and not handouts.
Deputy President while on a three-day tour in the Coastal region argued that the ODM leader’s handout plan was unrealistic and should never be taken seriously.
According to the former Premier, his program would be rolled out, reaching out to at least 8 million people in 12 months.
Raila’s main plan was to help bridge the poverty gap in the country.
“Namwamba bwana kitendawili karibu, karibu tuongeee mambo ya hustler, na mambo ya uchumi, lakini usituletee handout, hawa wakenya hawataki handout, hawa wakenya vijana wanataka kazi,” He said
He also said that he helped Raila Odinga to get the Premier position back in 2007 and later helped President Uhuru Kenyatta to become the fourth President Of Kenya.
“Si mimi nimesaidia rafiki yake Uhuru Kenyatta akakuwa rais? Si wakati huo walikuwa wanasema mimi ni mtu mzuri sana? Ruto said.
Deputy President Ruto said that because now he wants to be the 5th president of Kenya, he has now turned to be a thief and a dark horse.
“Sasa vile nimesema nisaidie mama mboga, nisaidie mtu wa boda boda wameanza kunibandika majina, ati ooh Ruto si mzuri,ooh sijui Ruto ni mkora, ooh sijui Ruto ni mwizi, siku ile mimi nilikuwa nawasaidia wao nilikuwa mtu mzuri,” He said
He also said that he is aware of the plans to derail his presidential ambitions but he has power from the people.
“Leo nawasaidia hawa wanyonge nimekuwa mkora, si hii ni utapeli.. hawa watu waache mchezo nanii… wakwende… He concluded.
