It Ends In tears For Kiraitu As Party Targeting Youth Launched

Must read

It has now ended in tears for Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi as his DEP party has now lost Youths in Meru County to other political parties. This is because a new political party targeting Youth has been launched in Meru County ahead of the 2022 General Election.

The United for Peace and Development in Kenya (UPDK) party described Kiraitu’s DEP party as a briefcase party formed on ethnic grounds. It claims to be a party capable of transforming the country with a mission to improve the lives of citizens and most importantly, it supports the bottom-up economic model.

“There will be no ringing, and all interested aspirants are welcome to join. UPDK is not one of those briefcase parties formed on ethnic grounds. Kiraitu popularizes the DEP party, which includes all members of his Abogeta community, and then claims that it is a party for Meru County,” a candidate for Meru County Senator from the UPDK party said.

UPDK Patron Mr. Mwirchia said the party was fully registered with the registrar of political parties and would flag the Senator, MCA, Governor, Women Rep, and MP candidates.

“UPDK stands for Moto Kama Pasi, and it does not take any shortcuts. We will make certain that they are successful in the general elections on August 9, 2022. We have dockets for all classes of citizens, including mama mbogas, pastors, and Muslims,” said UPDK Patron Mr. Mwirchia

According to UPDK Chairperson Imenti North, the party will be able to improve the lives of the mwananchi at the most basic level.

“We are encouraging aspirants in North Imenti seeking elective positions to show up and register as members. The party’s goal is to assist ordinary mwananchi. I’m encouraging young people to turn out in large numbers and join the party. As the chairman stated, youths are said to be the leaders of tomorrow, and tomorrow has arrived,” he said.

He said that UPDK primarily targets those with ideas and those who are financially unable.

The candidate for Meru County Senator from the UPDK party urged all aspirants seeking elective posts to join the UPDK party because it is not a tribal party but a National Party so that they can build the country together.

He said that the party will have a candidate for every leadership position so that we can all work together to transform our country.

“The UPDK party is not just for Meru County, but for Kenya as a whole. The party is not led by crooks, politicians, or inept politicians, but by hustlers,” he said.

He claimed that EALA MP Mpuru Aburi was popularizing his NOO PEU Party with his son as Secretary General, claiming that the party belonged to Meru County residents.
