Police rescue suspected motorcycle thief from mob

Must read

As phone theft cases continue to escalate, especially in Nairobi and its suburbs, a relative who wanted to reap what he did not sow was rescued by police after a mob beat him up and ran into a mosque.

Kelvin Kamau, 21, was rescued from the attack after being found by members of the public shortly after grabbing the phone of a young woman on his way to Murang’a Road in Nairobi.

Kamau, who was riding a motorcycle as a customer, stalked the girl’s phone during the conversation, before freezing it in her pocket and continuing as if nothing had happened.

Sadly, the victim yelled and the crowd responded

After signaling the motorcycle carrying the thief, the mob followed the motorcycle and caught up with the suspect.

The sound of slaps and heavy fists landing on the suspect was heard by Parklands police station officers, who were on patrol.

Police rescued the seriously injured suspect from death while urging angry citizens to allow the law to take his hand.

Remaining a painful lesson for the suspect who extended his arm, doctors in one of the city’s hospitals are working hard to save his life, so that he can be brought to justice as soon as he recovers.

The stolen phone was found and returned to the victim.
