Four men hijack and set fire to a bus

Must read

Four men snatched and set fire to a bus in a pro-British “union” community in Northern Ireland on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

Police said they received a report of a piracy incident in the Church Road area of Belfast’s Newtown suburb at around 7:45 p.m. There are no reports of injuries.

“It was reported that four men boarded the bus and ordered the passengers to get off before the bus caught fire. The Church Road area is currently closed and there are traffic diversions. “The police will ask the public to avoid the area,” the Northern Ireland Police Department said in a statement.

Last week, two armed masked men hijacked and set fire to another bus in an attack that local media say is linked to tensions over post-Brexit trade barriers.
