Must read

A motorcycle was stolen from a member of the Latimao bodaboda SACCO in Antumbwete-Igembe. It was tracked down to Mutuati, where it was discovered with a suspect named Lawi. The suspect was known to be armed and had a history of theft.

“Kirimi’s motorcycle was stolen on Tuesday, April 14. We tracked the motorcycle down to Mutuati, where we discovered it with a suspect named Lawi.

He was known to be armed and had a history of theft. We were the two of us at the time, and we were terrified of approaching the suspect.

We went to the subchief for assistance in apprehending the suspect. The subchief demanded a bribe of Ksh 10,000.

The thieves who are stealing our motorcycles are from Mburanjiru. When the thieves are apprehended, they are released immediately.

We urge the authorities to intervene and beef up security,” Bonface Mugambi, chairman of Latimao bodaboda SACCO told BAITETV.

“I had just returned from an errand and had parked my motorcycle at the gate. When I returned 20 minutes later, a thief had already broken the headlock and stolen it.

We tracked it down to Mutuati and encountered individuals who threatened us when we inquired about the motorcycle,” said Samuel Kirimi,” the owner of the stolen motorcycle.

“The Boda boda operators, have no one to listen to their cries, and we have no say in the matter.

When one of us purchases a bodaboda, it is stolen by Mbura Njiru thieves. We request that our leader, Maoke Maore, ensure that our members have the same level of security that the cow owners have,” Mwenje, a bodaboda operator told BAITETV.
