Bad news for Kiraitu as negative reactions meet his camp in Maili Tatu

Must read

Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi’s camp, led by the director of public communications in Meru County, Alhaji Mwendia, was chastised by residents of Maili Tatu, Meru County after he said that one of the meeting’s agenda was to announce that Meru County MP Hon Bishop Kawira Mwangaza should be prosecuted for claiming that the DEP (bus) party was formed with funds set aside for the Covid-19 pandemic.

They expected residents to support their agenda, but instead, they turned on them, forcing Alhaji Mwendia to cut his speech short. Residents defiantly disagreed with Alhaji Mwendia, yelling that Kawira Mwangaza should be left alone.

The lawsuit filed by Kiraitu’s lawyer, Munga Kibanga & Co., came after Kawira urged the residents of Meru County to run away from Kiraitu Murungi’s DEP (bus) party as quickly as possible whenever they see it because it was formed with funds set aside for the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Governor Kiraitu I don’t have much to say except a message for you. Kawira Mwangaza said that the money set aside for road repairs was used to pay for the paintwork and the purchase of DEP (bus) party’s doors,” said Alhaji.

Alhaji accused Kawira of claiming that the funds allocated for the purchase of medicines in hospitals were used to install a carrier on DEP (bus) party’s roof and the engine was purchased with money intended for people with disabilities.

“Kawira claimed that the seats were purchased with funds designated for youth and the elderly. She claimed that the bus was not assembled by Kiraitu Murungi’s sweat, but by someone forced to do so and by a child who had not been educated,” said Alhaji

He accused Kawira of claiming that the steering was purchased after cancer patients in Meru County were denied proper healthcare and were forced to travel to Nairobi for dialysis.

“We are giving Governor Kiraitu orders to take her to court, and it is not a request, but the residents have asked you to forgive her. We’re asking her to keep her mouth shut,” said Alhaji.

Meru County MP Hon Bishop Kawira Mwangaza said that she had no apologies to make and informed Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi that she would meet him in court because she was not afraid.

“Kiraitu, who has dubbed himself a crocodile in the water, should come out of the water and visit residents in the Mashinani, where there is a hunger strike and children are walking barefooted, have no clothes to keep them warm during the cold season, women are always expecting Kawira to award them bursaries despite her office having a limited budget allocation, said Kawira.

Kiraitu’s officials accused her of being wicked and forced their way into her house before attacking and criticizing her for making the sentiments, according to Kawira.

“I recently stated that residents of Meru County did not witness Kiraitu’s development projects during his first, second, third, and fourth years in office. I said that because he is in his final year in office, he has brought us the bus party as we approach the campaigns and that we will not allow the bus party,” said Kawira.

According to Kawira, Meru County residents would have accepted the Bus Party only if it had initiated projects such as shoe donations for children, community water projects, fertilizers, classroom construction, locker, tent, and chair donations to schools, and provision of medicines to hospitals.

“When Kiraitu heard my sentiments, he took me to court, and I’d like to tell him that I started going to courts when they only had one toilet at the time. He should have taken me to court sooner. Residents of Meru County have not seen Kiraitu get to work in his first, second, third, or fourth years in office,” said Kawira.

Kawira said that residents elected Kiraitu and expected him to eliminate water shortage challenges, keep children from being sent home from school due to a lack of food, provide medicines to hospitals, and assist our schools.

“We haven’t seen Kiraitu get to work in four years, and he claims to have brought us the Bus party in his final year in office. We asked him to bring us the party if it repaired the roads in Meru County, provided medicines to our hospitals, funded women’s groups because Kawira was unable to fund them all, and funds for boda boda operators whose membership has grown,” said Kiraitu.

According to Kawira, residents will only recognize the bus party after it has met all of these requirements.

She said Kiraitu should be informed that Kawira was not easily frightened and did not support public-funds swindlers in Meru County.

“I am adamant that the Bus party was founded with funds set aside for the Covid-19 pandemic. According to the auditor general’s report, Kiraitu’s company purchased a Ksh 10 mask for Ksh 3000. The Bus Party was built with funds set aside for roads because the roads are in disrepair, which is why I decided to buy gumboots for our children,” said Kawira.

Kawira demanded to know the whereabouts of Meru County public funds because a portion of it was used to purchase the bus party. She assured Kiraitu that on August 9, 2022, his defeat will be remembered as the most talked about.

She said that billions of Shillings are allocated to development projects in Meru County and Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi’s officials collect the returns.

According to Kawira, once development projects are completed, contractors receive their share while Kiraitu officials keep the rest.

“All Kiraitu Murungi’s employees own firms that are awarded Meru County government tenders. To collect returns, he appoints crooks as directors. Kiraitu officials have been in office for less than five years and have already purchased homes worth millions of shillings,” said Kawira.

Kiraitu’s officials, according to Kawira, have suddenly gained weight and their faces are gleaming as a result of their lavish lifestyle.

“I’m curious where these people get all of their money to maintain a wealthy lifestyle that Kawira cannot afford. I urge Meru County residents to join me in prayer, and when I become governor, the next time I visit schools in Meru County, I will dress all children in school uniforms. I’d like us to send Kiraitu home very early in the morning on August 9, 2022,” said Kawira.

Kawira said that Kiraitu dubbed himself a crocodile in the water while she was busy looking for school uniforms to donate to pupils.

“On August 9, 2022, Kiraitu will not believe how she will pull him out of the water he claims to be in. He should get out of the water he claims to be in and go to the schools in Meru County to see how the children are dealing with issues such as a lack of proper school uniforms and food. He can’t stay in the water for five years,” said Kawira.

She said that she was confident that Meru County residents would vote unanimously in her favor.

According to Kawira, Meru residents should void his re-election and change the leadership of Meru County. She said Meru County would resemble Canaan under her leadership.

“Parents will never have to worry about not being able to pay school fees again because if I am capable of educating students with the limited budget allotted to my office, I will educate all students with the billions Kiraitu’s government receives. Kiraitu has hidden public funds in his home and intends to bribe people with them,” said Kawira.

Kawira said that In the first, second, third, and fourth years of Kiraitu’s term, residents never saw him get to work.

“All elected leaders left all of the work to Kawira Mwangaza, who has no money. An MCA is given more money than my office, but I am able to visit the entire Meru County. I urge the people of Meru County to help me expand my office by electing me as governor,” she said.

She said on the other hand, she assisted residents of Meru County who lacked school uniforms, shoes, food, medicines, and good road networks.

“Kawira does all of the work on her own with limited resources allocated to her office, and we agreed with Meru residents that we needed to change Meru County’s leadership. Residents approached me and asked me to run for Governor, claiming that they had suffered enough at the hands of Kiraitu,” said Kawira.

Kawira said insisted that on the morning of August 9, 2022, she would send Kiraitu Murungi home because she had the support of the residents.

“Kiraitu’s only accomplishment after five years in office is his bus party, which I hear is embroiled in legal wrangling. Residents elected thieves, crooks, and people who do not fear God, and as a result, children are starving to death. They are stealing public funds and will soon find themselves in a difficult situation,” she said.

Kawira said that the time had come for Kiraitu and his county officials to stop stashing money in houses in order to buy votes while Meru residents continue to suffer.
