A woman living with a disability died after she was allegedly inserted a cooking stick in her throat by her husband in Gitimbine-Imenti, residents told BaiteTv on Thursday.
 Resindents said the woman’s husband escaped and a search is on to arrest him.
According to the residents, the deceased had failed to show up for work and attempts to contact her were futile.
“At 8 a.m, I received a call from Gakii, the landlord of the deceased, informing me that a woman had been found dead at her house and that the husband, Denno, could not be traced.
It is said that they had an argument and left each other, only for the deceased to look for the husband and reconcile later. There is a document in the house that proves her nationality is Tanzanian. The husband is from Nanyuki.

It is reported that the deceased’s husband consumes alcohol,” said Julius Kithinji.
“We were shocked to learn this morning that a woman had been discovered dead in her home. When we arrived at the house, we discovered that the deceased had been choked to death with a cooking stick. The cooking stick had passed through the mouth and into the stomach with blood was oozing,” said Mama Ingine.
“A majority of people living with disabilities reside in Mbusinia. Someone brought them here and is responsible for their well-being. He takes them out early in the morning to places like Meru town, Maua, and other places.
It is alleged that the people living with disabilities are from Tanzania and have rented on the same plot.Inquire with the neighbors to get more information on the deceased,” said Mr.Mutiga

I had never heard them argue until today when I learned that the deceased had failed to show up for work and that the house had been locked.
