KCSE 2020: Antuanduru high school registers sterling performance

Must read

Antuanduru secondary is a day mixed secondary school in Meru county. The school has over the years registered sterling performance in KCSE.

The giant school in Tigania East region had a total of 109 candidates who sat KCSE 2020 exams.

Top grades were well represented. A total of 24 students will join university directly under Kenya university and colleges central placement (KUCCPS) after attaining minimum university entry grade of C+ (plus)

More than 45 students will be enrolled in diploma programs because the school had a large number of candidates who sat KCSE 2020 exams.

“Over 70% of the 109 candidates qualified to attend colleges and universities. This is due to the dedication of our teachers, in my opinion” said the school principal.

The top girl in the school, who scored grade B in the KCSE 2020 exams, said: “First and foremost, I want to thank God for everything he has done. So far, it’s been him, and it’s not my strength or anything “she stated.

“I’d like to tell others that if you work hard while remaining determined and focused, you can still get a grade and attend university and do whatever you want. Incorporate God into everything you do,” she said.

“I’d like to express my gratitude to God for bringing me this far,” Phineas Mutuma, another candidate who scored a B in the KCSE 2020 exams, said. “This far, it has not been my accomplishment, but His who has enabled me,” he said.

“Despite attending a day school, I received a grade that qualified me for university. My greatest ambition was to become an engineer, and I believe I will succeed,” he said.

One of the teachers told BaiteTv that despite the fact that Antuanduru secondary is a day school with many challenges, God had honored them by making them the first in the sub-county.

“Our school’s core value is fear of God, which serves as the foundation for other values such as integrity, discipline, innovativeness, and creativity,” he said.

“We collaborated with all of the teachers in the examination department as we developed elaborate programs. In a term, we have three exams: an opener, a midterm, and a final exam.

“We have motivational programs in which the top three students in each examination are recognized. We also recognize the top five achievers at the end of the semester.

“We thank God because today, among the top achievers, several students have been granted direct entry to university,” he said.
