Four police officers were injured when they were swept away by a vehicle in an attack on Israeli security forces this afternoon in East Jerusalem, according to police and rescue teams.
“Four police officers were injured in a car attack” in the Sheikh Jara district of East Jerusalem, Israeli police said, while rescuers said a total of seven people were injured.

Israeli police said they “neutralized” the perpetrator without specifying his identity, nor whether he was killed or injured.
A strong police force has been deployed in the East Jerusalem district, which has been the scene of demonstrations and clashes between law enforcement and Palestinians opposing the possible eviction of families.
