A mother-in-law was violently thrashed by her son-in-law for confronting him after he bit and threatened her daughter in yet another disturbing video of domestic abuse in Amukui-Tigania, Meru county.
“I learned that my son-in-law had beaten and threatened my daughter from his brother. He claimed that he had damaged his veranda while attempting to gain entry to his house, where my daughter had sought refuge,” she said.
“When I arrived and tried to talk to him so that we could make peace and sort things out, he hit me with a stick on the hand and head. I rushed to the hospital and am disappointed because I was not accompanied or assisted by anyone,” she said.
“I am pleading with the government to assist me because he claims I have nothing,” she said.
