The case of an Austrian who confessed to the police that he was the perpetrator of the murder that he had been planning for weeks, in order to go to prison, causes shock.
Innsbruck police announced today that the suspect, an Austrian citizen, entered a police station in the town of Kufstein, near the border with Germany, yesterday, Monday, and claimed responsibility for the murder.
He, whose details have not been made public, told police he wanted to go to jail because he was not happy with his life.
According to the police, the 29-year-old allegedly chose his victim, lured him by setting an ambush and killed him.
“There was no way the victim survived,” police said.
