Man of the hour reemerges in the wake of disappearing just before his wedding.

Must read

Christabella Banturaki and Patrick Mbusa Kabagambe were to be married in the presence of their family and friends on Saturday, April 10.

Extensive preparations had been made to ensure the day’s success; a luxurious venue at Kampala’s Silver Springs Hotel had also been prepared for them to celebrate their reception after exchanging vows at the city’s All Saints Cathedral Nakasero.

However, after Christabella’s husband-to-be disappeared without trace on Friday night 9, Daily Monitor reported, the day that would have been a highlight of their lives became the worste nigthmare.

Patrick’s phone had been turned off by Saturday morning, and his whereabouts could not be determined. The groom’s search was immediately launched, and the wedding was also canceled. Her friends and family, who were unaware of Patrick’s mysterious disappearance, went to the Cathedral on Saturday, only to return home later.

Fearing the worst, Christabella filed a missing person report at Kasangati Police Station in Wakiso District, and authorities quickly launched a mounted search for Patrick, with his family hoping for the best but bracing for the worst. However, the groom reappeared two days later and presented himself at Wandegeya Police Station in Kampala, claiming he was not missing.

“He stated that he was anxious. He had no reason not to marry Ms Banturaki. “We later released him on police bond while investigations continue,” Kampala Metropolitan Police Officer Luke Owoyesigyire said on Monday, April 12.
