Must read

An 18-year-old boxer was the target of a horrific attack on Tuesday night in Leeds, where his arm was cut with a machete. Surgeons were able to reattach the limb of 18-year-old Jaden Hughes after seven hours of surgery, according to his aunt.

Detectives have charged 24-year-old George Jones with conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm and violent disorder. Police arrested another 13-year-old on suspicion of criminal injury at an address on April 9, where detectives believe is linked to the attack.

Hughes is an up-and-coming young athlete who allegedly posed for him after exchanging mockery on Snapchat with teenagers from another part of the city.

Police in West Yorkshire are conducting raids in the East Leeds area where gang warfare is reportedly raging. Hugh’s aunt said: “Jaden has recovered after a seven-hour operation with surgeons reconnecting his arm. I have not seen him but I understand that he is doing well. It is sad. He lost his mom when he was little and now my dad is raising him. He was a very talented boxer. “Obviously he will not do that anymore.”

Police appealed for more information, while the inspector-detective said that he believed that several people were involved in the attack. Residents of the area said that a gang approached the 18-year-old and cut off his whole arm around 9.30 on Tuesday night. A neighbor who saw the attack said it was horrible, while another said the victim was screaming in pain.
