A fight allegedly broke out between two women in Mwiyo village in Meru County over a man.
One of the women said that the other woman came to her house armed with a machette and threatened to hack her. Her husband and the woman split two years ago, she claimed, and the divorce was formalized at the children’s office.
She said that the woman had assaulted her earlier when she was heavy.
“She alerted my neighbors that she was planning to assault me before breaking into my home and damaging property,” she said.
“My husband agreed to pay for their children’s upkeep after the divorce and when she receives the money, she comes to my house, insults me, and threatens me with a machette.

According to the lady, her husband’s ex-wife is from Miori village in Meru County and is known as Janice
The landlord implored the members of the community to apprehend the lady and take her to the police station. she said that she sought refuge at her house after fleeing a mob beating.
“I strongly advise her not to attempt murder again,” she said.
A relative to the victim said the woman and her former husband have a four-year-old child. Following the divorce, the husband remarried and brought another woman into his home who happens to be her in-law.
“When the woman was heavy, the ex-wife went to her home and assaulted her,” she said.
According to the relative, the husband relocated her in-law to a rental apartment, but the ex-wife was able to track her down.
“Today, she went to her apartment and threatened to kill her and her child,” she said.
