The family and neighborhood of a 34-year-old woman are saddened when she killed her newborn baby and her 3-year-old son, after jumping from a building window almost 60 meters high, finding a tragic death.
Olga Zarkova, 34, and her two sons, aged three and one month, were killed after their mother’s death dive from a 19th-floor apartment in an apartment building in the Russian capital.
Police have launched a posthumous homicide for the woman and her two unfortunate children.
The postpartum depression that allegedly led her to the granted step
Authorities are examining the possibility that the woman suffered from acute postpartum depression before committing suicide and killing her children during the fall of 60 meters.
Olga reportedly wrote a note saying she did not want to leave her children in this “hard, gloomy world”.
“She complained to her acquaintances that she had postpartum depression,” a police source told Komsomolskaya Pravda. “She felt lonely and tired,” she added.
The mother of two, who is the wife of a Russian military officer, held the children in her arms as she fell.
Her husband arrived at the scene and faced the spectacle suffered a severe shock.
The 34-year-old had earlier complained that Dmitri’s husband had been away from home for long periods of time for military service.
