-(a) Request for Statements
The following Statement were requested by:
–(i) The Member for Mavoko (Hon. Patrick K. Makau, MP) on the Sewer spillage in Syokimau area along the Nairobi Expressway Project;
(ii) The Member for Funyula (Hon. Ojiambo Oundo, MP) on status of Drug Abuse, Treatment and Rehabilitation in the Country;
(iii) The Member for Kikuyu (Hon. Kimani Ichung’wah, MP) concerting illegal arrest and detention of a Turkish National;
(iv) The Member for Suna West (Hon. Peter Masara, MP) on provision of counselling and psychosocial support services to police officers;
(b) Response to Statements
The following responses to requested statements were issued by Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security on the statements requested by:
(i) The Hon. Kangogo Bowen, M.P. regarding Banditry Attacks and Killings in Marakwet East Constituency.
(ii) The Hon. Abdullswamad Nassir, M.P. regarding Police Brutality against Peaceful Demonstrators in Mombasa County.(iii) The Hon. Samuel Atandi, M.P regarding insecurity in Dond Koki Market.
(iv) The Hon. Paul Mwirigi, M.P regarding insecurity of Miraa Merchants in Northern Kenya.
(v) The Hon. Mohamed Lokiru, M.P. regarding cattle rustling and Killings in Turkana East Constituency; and
(vi) The Hon. Dido Ali Rasso, M.P. regarding insecurity in Marsabit and Isiolo Counties.
(c) Pursuant to Standing Order 44(2)(c), the Leader of the Majority Party issued a Statement,regarding business to be considered by the House during the week commencing 17th August 2021.
