Leaders of the church and nyumbakumi in the akirang’ondu location informed BaiteTv that they were chosen alongside the sub-area by the villagers to assist the chief and sub-chief in carrying out their duties.
They criticized the chief and sub-chief over the slow approach towards handling insecurity cases in the area. The elders similarly questioned why the chief and sub-chief were rubbishing reported cases of illicit brew.
They stated that they will not sit back and watch as the number of cases of insecurity and illegal brew in the area increases.
