New rape incident shocks India. A 22-year-old woman was gang-raped when the driver of an ambulance and his accomplice tricked her into following them after promising to give her food, according to police. The alleged attack took place on Monday when the married woman was near the vehicle in Jaipur.
After the nurse and his friend offered her food, they drove to a remote area where she was raped. The driver of the ambulance and his accomplice were arrested and are being interrogated. According to the Times of India, the alleged victim’s statement has been recorded and a medical examination has been performed. In India, on average, one rape occurs every 15 minutes, according to federal data.
