Mali President Bach Dadaou, caretaker Prime Minister Mokhtar Owan and Defense Minister ousted by military forces in the Kati camp, near the capital Bamako, in an apparent coup following the formation of a new government, according to sources.
“The president and the prime minister are here in Kati for matters that concern them,” said a senior army official.
A government official, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the information, confirmed that the heads of the transitional government had been transferred to Kati.
