At least 30 killed in train crash

At least 30 people were killed and at least 50 others injured this morning when two express trains collided in Pakistan’s southern Sindh province, according to Pakistani and international media.

According to Pakistani public radio, a train running the Millat Express (Karachi-Sargonda) derailed and the one running the Sir Syed Express (Karachi-Rawalpindi) crashed into the derailed wagons.

The tragedy occurred on the section of the railway network between Raiti and Obaro stations in the Gotki district of Sindh.

Rescue crews have rushed to the scene and are rescuing victims who are being treated in hospitals.
